CHA University of Science and Technology announced on the 12th that its students participated in volunteer work and cultural exchange activities at the University of Guam in the United States. The Guam training, held from the 7th to the 10th of last month as part of the ‘CHA Future Convergence Talent Global Overseas Training Program,’ was conducted with the support of the Guam Visitors Bureau and the University of Guam.

The students engaged in ▲ University of Guam campus tours ▲ global university student cultural exchange activities ▲ environmental cleanup activities in the Guam area ▲ visits to the Guam Museum ▲ cultural experiences ▲ and marine ecology tours in Guam. In particular, the planting activity, where students planted trees and cared for the environment to help the Guam area affected by Typhoon Mawar in May, received great support from local residents. Kim Dong-ik, President of CHA University of Science and Technology, said, "Through Guam’s unique and distinctive environment and programs, our students had a valuable experience and a time to cultivate their global capabilities," adding, "We will strive to expand exchanges with the University of Guam to ensure close mutual cooperation in the future."

Kim Eui-young, a student majoring in Sports Medicine who participated in the program, said, "It was a time to develop both character and global capabilities through various exchanges with overseas university students, including tree planting," and added, "It was a valuable time comparing the cultures and environments of both countries."

CHA University of Science and Technology supports overseas training opportunities for all undergraduate students. It operates various programs annually in connection with over 20 universities worldwide, including West Coast University in the United States, Oxford University in the United Kingdom, as well as universities in Canada, Singapore, New Zealand, China, and Japan, and 90 medical institutions across 7 countries owned by CHA Hospital and the Bio Group. In December last year, CHA University of Science and Technology invited the Guam Visitors Bureau director and executives to CHAUM to sign a global exchange business agreement.
