Paris Baguette Branch Union Members Face Personnel Disadvantages... Under Investigation for 'Unfair Labor Practices'
The prosecution has launched a compulsory investigation, including a search and seizure of the SPC Group headquarters, in connection with allegations of unfair labor practices by a subsidiary of the SPC Group.
Prosecutors have requested an arrest warrant for the fifth cousin of Justice Minister Cho Kuk, a key figure in the 'private equity fund suspicion,' raising expectations that Professor Jung Kyung-shim, the minister's wife, will soon be summoned. The Public Investigation Division 3 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Im Sambin) is conducting searches at three locations on the 12th: the SPC Group headquarters, the PB Partners headquarters (a subsidiary of SPC Group), and the residence of PB Partners executive Jeong Mo.
The prosecution is investigating PB Partners on suspicion of unfair labor practices, such as coercing members of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions' Textile, Food, and Beverage Union Paris Baguette branch to withdraw from the union or imposing personnel disadvantages.
