Jeongeup-si to Host 'National Singing Contest' at Hanguk Gayochon Dalhaseo on the 29th

Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced on the 11th that the public recording of 'KBS National Singing Contest Jeongeup Edition' will be held at 1 PM on the 29th, during the Jeongeupsa Cultural Festival.

That day marks the final day of the 34th Jeongeupsa Cultural Festival. The city pursued hosting the National Singing Contest to enrich the festival and provide a venue for citizen unity and cultural enjoyment.

Applications are open to Jeongeup residents, workers, or students located in Jeongeup. Those wishing to participate should apply by the 20th at their nearest eup, myeon, or dong community center.

The preliminary audition will take place at 1 PM on the 27th at the Jeongeupsa Arts Center.

During the public recording, 15 teams who pass the preliminary audition will showcase their singing skills and talents. Additionally, MC Kim Sin-young, known for her warm wit, along with Jo Hang-jo, Kim Hye-yeon, and Park Hyun-bin, will appear to deliver an exciting performance.

Mayor Lee Hak-su said, “I hope the National Singing Contest Jeongeup Edition will be a precious occasion that brings joy and healthy smiles to citizens weary from difficult daily lives.”
