Orchestra Performances Along with Over 10 Experience Events
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam will hold a social economy sales market and experience event at the Central Square of Gyeongnam Social Economy Innovation City from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 14th.
According to the city, the event named "2023 Changwon City Social Economy Value: Autumn Picnic" will take place at the former Industrial Complex Corporation Southeast Exhibition Hall in Seongsan-gu, where 21 social economy enterprises will participate to introduce and sell their products and operate experience programs.
At the sales booths, products made by social economy enterprises such as cherry blossom sikhye, rice tteokbokki, fried chicken, various snacks, and hand-knitted items will be sold along with food items like persimmon juice and yogurt from direct sales stores.
All products encourage reuse and promote zero waste environmental practices that produce no waste, allowing visitors to purchase zero waste products.
At the experience booths, about 10 activities will be available, including making Daegam yeot (traditional Korean taffy), rattan basket weaving, natural dyeing, tarot card reading, and making plastic recycled keychains.
Throughout the event venue, there will be orchestra performances, street performances, a big balloon show using large balloons, and an air bounce (inflatable playground) for children.
Na Jae-yong, Director of the Economic and Job Creation Bureau, said, "We hope many citizens participate in this event where they can experience various activities and products from social economy enterprises, to understand and take an interest in the social economy."
