SLDT, which operates the limited edition platform ‘Soldout,’ announced on the 11th that it has launched a sneaker resale service verified by experts.
‘Soldout Used,’ which started on the 6th, differs from the existing consumer-to-consumer (C2C) service Soldout Trade, where only new products could be traded, by allowing users to trade used products they own.
Customers wishing to sell on Soldout Used must first search for the product name they want to sell, then upload detailed photos of the product taken from various angles according to the provided manual. This is to ensure that buyers can clearly understand the condition of the used product just by looking at the photos.
After a transaction is completed, the seller must send the product to the Soldout Inspection Center. Soldout carefully verifies the authenticity of the product through inspection personnel who have professional experience in sneaker authentication. Additionally, a comparative inspection is conducted between the photos uploaded by the seller and the actual product to check for any ‘condition issues.’
Customers wishing to sell can also apply for ‘storage sales,’ where products are traded while being stored in a warehouse operated by Soldout. If opting for storage sales, customers can also use Soldout’s professional sneaker care service.
To celebrate the launch of the resale service, Soldout is running a promotion until the end of this month waiving the inspection fee, which is normally set at 2.0% of the product price. After the event ends, both the inspection fee and a purchase fee (3.3%) will be charged.
A Soldout representative said, “Soldout Used trading has a differentiated strength in that trained professional inspectors provide authentication services based on three years of accumulated genuine product inspection data and human know-how since the service launch. We plan to further enhance the Soldout service to offer a variety of options not only for new products but also for customers seeking reasonable consumption.”
