ALT is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as highlighting the core technology of quantum encryption, a next-generation security technology.
As of 1:56 PM on the 10th, ALT is trading at 21,400 KRW, up 3.63% from the previous day.
According to media reports on the day, the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) is conducting security inspections related to the ‘Yeonjik Baram Gwancheok Jangbi’ (Vertical Wind Observation Equipment). Since the discovery of malware in June this year, after completing follow-up measures such as vaccine installation on five major devices, they are now preemptively checking security vulnerabilities on additional equipment to be imported.
Recently, malware was found in a type of wind measurement device, the Chinese-made ‘Yeonjik Baram Gwancheok Jangbi,’ raising concerns about the risk of cyberattacks targeting meteorological equipment. In response, the KMA has announced plans to strengthen security inspections on meteorological devices.
Meanwhile, ALT has succeeded in developing a test for QRNG (Quantum Random Number Generator), which is unpredictable by quantum computers. QRNG is a quantum random number generator that provides fundamental uncertainty, i.e., unpredictability, based on quantum mechanical phenomena.
With the full emergence of quantum computers that process data 100 million times faster than supercomputers, the predictability of existing encryption systems has increased. As the importance of security to counter this grows, QRNG uses the characteristics of quantum randomness to generate random numbers that make pattern analysis itself impossible, thereby preventing hacking risks through communication networks.
According to related industries and the company, QRNG is expected to play a key role in encryption technology.
