Jeongeup-si, Rural Experience Train Trip Nongttureil Receives Positive Response

The Jeonbuk Jeongeup Agricultural Technology Center announced on the 10th that it conducted the rural experience travel program "Samgoeul Jeongeup, Exciting Travel," a Nongttureil tour to feel the beautiful autumn atmosphere of Jeongeup and experience rural culture, on the 9th.

The 25 Nongttureil tourists recruited through the online site "Let's Korail," operated by Korea Railroad Corporation, tasted welcome tea made from aloe at the rural experience farm "Aloe Sarang" and had time to make aloe moisturizer themselves.

They also visited the Gujeolcho Flower Festival site, strolled along the flower path, and fully enjoyed the best autumn mood. Along with this, they spent time viewing various exhibition booths and purchasing agricultural specialty products.

As the final course, the program concluded with tasting Ssanghwa tea on Ssanghwa Tea Street, one of Jeongeup’s nine scenic spots, satisfying all five senses.

A tourist who enjoyed the trip said, “The travel course was well-organized as a one-day itinerary and was fulfilling,” adding, “Through this trip, I discovered new charms of Jeongeup and want to visit again.”

Jeon Jeong-gi, the director, said, “We will continue to promote the Nongttureil product, which links attractive tourist resources and rural experience products, and strive to monetize rural resources.”

Meanwhile, "Nongttureil" is a program jointly developed by the Rural Development Administration, Korea Railroad Corporation, and local governments to revitalize rural experience tourism. The name combines words associated with rural areas and railroads such as nonttureong (rice paddy ridge), dure (a cooperative group), and rail, symbolizing the "connection between rural areas and railroads."
