'2023 Yeonggwang e-Mobility Expo' Officially 'Opens' on the 6th

New Technologies and Future Mobility Industry Unveiled in One Place

The '2023 Yeonggwang e-Mobility Expo' held a spectacular opening ceremony on the 6th at the Daema Industrial Complex Knowledge Industry Center area in Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do, officially kicking off its four-day schedule.

At the opening ceremony, key figures including Kang Jong-man, the governor of Yeonggwang-gun, the governor of Jeollanam-do, the president of Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, a director from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, foreign ambassadors to Korea from various countries, the president of the Korea Automotive Research Institute, and the chairman of the Korea Smart e-Mobility Association participated to wish for the successful hosting of the expo.

The Yeonggwang e-Mobility Expo, under the theme "Wise Mobility Leaping into the Future, e-Mobility!", showcases various new technologies and the future mobility industry until the 9th.

The opening celebration featured popular singers such as Jang Yoon-jung, Park Jae-jung, Hwang Min-woo, and Hwang Min-ho, who energized the audience with exciting performances, boosting the expo's atmosphere.

Notably, this year’s event invited foreign ambassadors and officials from nine countries including Nigeria, Romania, Congo, Cambodia, Greece, the Delegation of the European Union, and Sri Lanka. The county introduced the Daema Industrial Complex and the e-Mobility industry, and held a meeting to discuss increasing exports of e-Mobility products, attracting significant interest.

During the expo, visitors can enjoy e-Mobility product exhibitions and test drives, celebratory performances, various side events, and academic events featuring experts in autonomous driving and urban air mobility.

Additionally, daily prize draws and the Black Day discount sales event provide visitors with extra enjoyment, receiving great responses from many attendees.

Kang Jong-man, the governor, stated, "This expo is a great opportunity to showcase the current status and the future growth of the e-Mobility industry, which has enhanced Yeonggwang-gun’s competitiveness. We will continue to foster the eco-friendly e-Mobility industry where residents and businesses can thrive together in the cleanest environment."
