Anyang City in Gyeonggi Province has signed a business agreement with redevelopment and reconstruction project implementers (associations) and construction companies to revitalize the local economy.

On the 4th, Anyang City announced that it signed a "Business Agreement for Local Economic Revitalization" at the city hall's main conference room, aiming to establish an organic cooperative relationship with project implementers and construction companies at redevelopment and reconstruction district construction sites to revitalize the local economy, which has been stagnant due to the recent slowdown in economic growth and the impact of inflation.

The agreement signing parties on this day were the Hwacheong District Housing Redevelopment Maintenance Project Association and GS Construction, and the Samsin 6th Apartment Housing Reconstruction Maintenance Project Association and Doosan Construction.

According to the agreement, construction companies in each district will subcontract with service providers located within the jurisdiction during the construction process, and prioritize the use of construction materials and equipment from local companies.

They will also prioritize hiring workers residing in the area and use restaurants around the construction sites first, making efforts to coexist with local small business owners.

Project implementers and construction companies agreed to actively cooperate to coexist with local residents and inject vitality into the struggling local economy.

Yeom Jung-seon, Director of the Urban Housing Bureau of Anyang City, said, "We expect this to be an opportunity to revitalize the stagnant local economy through active cooperation based on mutual trust between Anyang City, project implementers, and construction companies," adding, "We will spare no administrative support to ensure that construction in each project district proceeds quickly and smoothly."
