Duksung Women’s University, the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation, and Kkeullim will hold an ESG advertisement delivery and attachment ceremony on the 5th at 'Indeok Jawon' located in Dobong-gu. This project was launched four months after the three organizations held an 'ESG Collaboration Agreement Ceremony' in June. The core of the project is to post 'rear car advertisements' by attaching public interest advertisements on both sides of the rear car and paying advertising fees.
The rear car advertisement aims to increase the fixed income of elderly people collecting waste paper and promote environmental protection through resource recycling by attaching public interest advertisements to rear cars and providing them free of charge. Duksung Women’s University participates as part of the Campus Town project, sharing the costs of the ESG campaign with the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation, while the project implementation and management are handled by Kkeullim. Kkeullim is a social venture that generates advertising revenue for waste collectors by attaching advertisement boards to lightweight rear cars developed in-house and conducts advertising projects to improve elderly welfare.
The ESG campaign 'rear car advertisement' will initially start with five teams in total: one team each in Dobong-gu, Mapo-gu, and Nowon-gu, and two teams in Jongno-gu, running for eight months. At the end of the campaign, the public interest advertisements will be collected, and the rear cars will continue to be used by the elderly. The basic policy is to verify whether the campaign practically helps the elderly and whether the public interest advertisements are appropriately applied to the ESG campaign before discussing any expansion.
Kang Nam-hee, head of the Duksung Women’s University Campus Town Project Group, said, "Most people care about the environment and elderly welfare but tend to hesitate to act hastily. Starting from today’s event, our three organizations will take the lead not just in thinking about the environment and welfare but in practicing small actions to catch two rabbits at once. Through this, we aim to become a catalyst for practical grassroots change."
