After the court dismissed the arrest warrant, Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, was seen bowing to correctional officers as he left Seoul Detention Center.

On the 27th, a video of Lee leaving Seoul Detention Center spread on pro-Democratic Party communities such as 'Clien.' In the video, Lee was seen leaving the court with a cane. While walking, he staggered and was supported by those around him.

What drew particular praise from supporters was Lee bowing to two correctional officers who were seeing him off. One correctional officer responded with a salute when Lee bowed his head in greeting.

The person who posted the video wrote, "A gentleman who maintains his manners until the end despite leaving uncomfortably. Thank you for your hard work, and I hope he rests well and meets the people again. The correctional officers must have felt something deeply as well."

Netizens who saw this also left comments praising him, such as "He truly shows the dignity of a human being" and "A genuine person shows it through actions."

However, some criticized Lee’s use of a cane as an attempt to gain sympathy votes.

Jin Joong-kwon, a special professor at Kwangwoon University, mocked Lee on the previous afternoon’s CBS radio program 'Park Jae-hong’s One-on-One Match,' saying, "Fasting could be a kind of escape, and today he used a cane. We have seen this many times before. In the past, it was a stretcher or wheelchair, but this time a cane is a new addition. There was even a staggering ceremony."

Meanwhile, on the same day, the Seoul Central District Court (Presiding Judge Yoo Chang-hoon) dismissed the prosecution’s request for Lee’s arrest warrant. Judge Yoo stated, "Considering the necessity of guaranteeing the suspect’s right to defense and the degree of concern for evidence tampering, it is difficult to see sufficient grounds and necessity for detention to override the principle of non-custodial investigation."
