Almek, a global specialist in aluminum parts for electric vehicles, announced on the 27th that it has signed a partnership agreement with the U.S. electric vehicle manufacturer Lucid USA, Inc. (hereinafter Lucid).
Through this partnership, Almek will supply its electric vehicle platform frames to Lucid. On the same day, the company began supplying beta (BETA) products, which are test samples used to verify product performance before mass production supply.
This contract will be applied to Lucid's new model, the 'Gravity' model, and actual products will be delivered according to confirmed product orders in the future. The total contract period is five years, from 2024 to 2029, with an expected total supply amount of 206.4 billion KRW, which is 132% of the company's previous year's sales.
Almek primarily operates its business by supplying products dedicated to electric vehicles, developing and producing battery (secondary battery) module cases, battery pack frames, and electric vehicle platform frames.
The company plans to establish a local factory in the U.S. and secure new sales channels to solidify its position as a global leader in the electric vehicle and secondary battery materials and parts industry.
