Gwangju Shinsegae announced on the 26th that it will be selling a variety of Chuseok gift sets focusing on local specialties at the food market on the basement first floor until the 27th, the day before the Chuseok holiday.
The ‘Damyang Hangwa’ gift set, made by Master Artisan Park Soon-ae, who is designated as Korea’s Food Artisan No. 33, is available in various configurations starting from 50,000 won.
The representative products of ‘Damyang Hangwa,’ a Hangwa manufacturing company in Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do, include Mihyang (1-tier) at 55,000 won, Jukhyang (2-tier) at 70,000 won, and Yehyang (3-tier) at 90,000 won, all featuring Hangwa made from organic rice grown in Changpyeong.
Additionally, Gwangju Shinsegae is showcasing a variety of local specialties by securing direct trade items with regional producers from Damyang, Hampyeong, Gangjin, Jangheung, and other areas to improve farmers’ income and provide reasonably priced gift sets.
