'Warning Issued' Disciplinary Resolution
The People Power Party's Central Ethics Committee on the 25th resolved to issue a warning disciplinary action against former lawmaker Lee Eon-ju for remarks such as "total election failure."
In a press release on the same day, the Ethics Committee stated that it judged Lee's repeated remarks in the media to fall under the disciplinary grounds stipulated in Article 20 of the Ethics Committee regulations.
This is a reason for disciplinary action when a member commits acts extremely harmful to the party, violates the party constitution or regulations causing obstacles to party development or resulting in public opinion drifting away, fails to fulfill duties as a party member without justifiable reason, or damages the party's dignity.
On the 15th, Lee appeared on BBS Radio and said, "If things continue like this, the general election will become even more difficult. It will be almost a 'pokmang' (total collapse)."

Also, on the 13th, on CPBC Radio, regarding the second reshuffle of the Yoon Seok-yeol government involving the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Ministry of National Defense, he said, "It seems like a message that if you curry favor with the president and appear favorable, you become a minister," adding, "Without any affection or vision, it's just about distributing positions to those loyal to me."
On the 23rd of last month, on MBC Radio, regarding Japan's decision to discharge contaminated water from Fukushima, he said, "(The government is) an accomplice," adding, "The majority of the people oppose it, but betraying the will of the people, the president betrays the will of the people, and 'the president has faithfully played such a role externally'?this itself violates the spirit of the constitution."
