[Asian Games] 'Lee Kang-in Playing' Hwang Sun-hong Team Wins 3-0 Against Bahrain

The South Korean U-24 soccer team, featuring Lee Kang-in in his first starting appearance, won 3-0 against Bahrain in their final group stage match of the Hangzhou Asian Games on the 24th.


Led by head coach Hwang Sun-hong, the team finished the group stage with three wins and first place in their group. They will face Kyrgyzstan, the second-place team in Group F, in the round of 16 on the 27th.

With qualification for the round of 16 already secured as group leaders, coach Hwang Sun-hong checked on the condition of ace Lee Kang-in. Lee, who joined the team late on the 21st, started for the first time and played only 35 minutes in the first half before being substituted by Go Young-jun.


South Korea dominated the first half with a shot count of 9-1 but failed to score. In the second half, goals by Lee Han-beom in the 16th minute, Baek Seung-ho in the 29th, and Go Young-jun in the 39th secured the victory over Bahrain.
