Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province will provide up to 1 million KRW to unemployed youth for academy tuition fees and more.


Seongnam City announced on the 22nd that it will continue the "Unemployed Youth Support Project (ALL-Pass)" in the second half of the year, following the first half, which supports up to 1 million KRW for language and certification exam fees and academy tuition fees, and will accept applications until December 4.


The eligible applicants are all unemployed youth aged 19 to 34 who have been registered residents of Seongnam City for more than one year as of the application date. Those who have taken related exams or courses since January 1 of this year are eligible.


The support covers ▲11 types of language exams including TOEIC, TOEFL, Chinese, and Japanese ▲Korean History Proficiency Test ▲880 types of nationally certified qualifications such as computer utilization, word processing, computerized tax accounting, Korean cuisine cooking, beauty, and nursing.


Support is provided once in a lifetime within the maximum amount without limits on the number of exam attempts or course enrollments, and academy tuition fees are supported regardless of whether the classes are online or offline.


However, low-income youth, youth preparing for independence, and youth facing employment difficulties can receive up to 1 million KRW, and if they apply consecutively the following year, they can receive an additional support once, up to a maximum of 2 million KRW.


Applications for support can be submitted through the Gyeonggi Job Foundation's integrated application system "Jobaba Apply (http://apply.jobaba.net)" by submitting supporting documents such as health insurance qualification certificate, exam/course confirmation, payment receipts, and a copy of the bankbook.


After verifying whether there is any overlap with similar projects, Seongnam City will deposit the certification exam fees and academy tuition fees into the accounts of the selected applicants in two rounds on November 30 and December 26.
