Sacheon Mayor Park Dongsik Conducts Integrity Campaign for Chuseok

Established to Foster a Culture of Integrity and Promote Awareness of Integrity

Sacheon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 22nd that it conducted the ‘Chuseok Integrity Campaign with Mayor Park Dongsik’ in the lobby of the city hall administrative building targeting employees commuting to work to foster an atmosphere of integrity during the holiday season.

This campaign was organized to establish a culture of integrity and spread awareness of integrity in celebration of the Chuseok holiday, with participation from Mayor Park Dongsik and about 20 employees from the Public Relations and Audit Office.

Mayor Park Dongsik is conducting an integrity campaign targeting employees arriving at the city hall administrative building lobby.

On this day, sashes and placards inscribed with phrases such as “Practicing Integrity, Happy City Sacheon,” “Integrity Awareness Nice, Corruption Pass,” and “Keep Distance from Unfair Solicitation, Keep Integrity Culture Close” were used to encourage employees to practice integrity in their daily lives.

In particular, the campaign promoted the eradication of the three major misconducts by public officials and the amendments to the Anti-Graft Act, while raising awareness about potential public service corruption that could occur by taking advantage of the holiday atmosphere, reaffirming the commitment to realize a transparent and integrity-driven happy city Sacheon.

Mayor Park said, “Integrity is a core value that public officials must uphold, and especially during holidays, unnecessary contact with related parties should be avoided,” adding, “I hope that through this campaign, all employees will once again reflect on the meaning of integrity and do their best in their duties as honest public officials so that Sacheon City can be trusted by its citizens.”

Meanwhile, ahead of the Chuseok holiday, the city has issued an integrity advisory and is conducting public service discipline inspections to enhance ethical awareness among all employees and establish strict public service discipline.
