Daegu Urban Development Corporation announced on the 21st that it has signed a business agreement for the ‘Happiness Sharing DAY with Daegu Urban Development Corporation!’ with four comprehensive social welfare centers located within permanent rental housing complexes (Beommul, Jisan, Sangin, Namsan).
The business agreement ceremony held at Beommul Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, located in Beommul Yongji Apartment in Suseong-gu, Daegu, was attended by Jeong Myeong-seop, President of Daegu Urban Development Corporation, and Kim Seok-pyo, Director of Beommul Comprehensive Social Welfare Center. They pledged to alleviate the living expenses burden of vulnerable elderly through the continuous operation of free meals at the welfare centers.

As the operation of welfare facilities has become seriously difficult due to a sharp decrease in free meal sponsorship funds after COVID-19, Daegu Urban Development Corporation plans to donate funds to each welfare center every month during the four-month agreement period (September to December) and continuously carry out volunteer activities.
After the agreement ceremony, a love meal volunteer activity for Chuseok was held. Jeong Myeong-seop, President of Daegu Urban Development Corporation, said, “It was a meaningful occasion to communicate with the elderly living in the corporation’s permanent rental housing in celebration of the Chuseok holiday,” and added, “We will continue to promote various social contribution activities that bring warmth to the local community.”
