Hampyeong-gun Holds Hanwoo Korean Set Menu Cooking Workshop

Development of New Hanwoo Dishes Diversifying Menu... Contributing to Revitalization of Dining and Tourism

Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 21st that it conducted the 'Hampyeong Cheonji Hanwoo Korean Set Menu Cooking Workshop' from the 18th to the 20th.

This workshop was part of the campaign promise of the 8th-term county governor to promote Hampyeong's specialty products as premium dining tourism. Three Hanwoo specialty restaurants participated: Geumsong Meat Restaurant (Hampyeong-eup), Gogi Gubneun Saramdeul (Hampyeong-eup), and Myeongpumgwan (Hakgyo-myeon).

During the workshop, the restaurants developed various menus utilizing flavorful sauces while preserving the unique taste of the ingredients.

The county plans to provide one-on-one customized consulting with restaurants and culinary experts to establish standardized cooking methods and develop menus optimized for in-store sales through on-site consulting, which will be introduced to consumers.

County Governor Lee Sang-ik stated, “Through continuous cooking workshops, we will develop various dishes that highlight the region's characteristics,” and added, “We will do our best to create premium dining tourism that captivates tourists' tastes.”
