Gwangju Seo-gu to Hold 'Healing Concert' at Hajungwoong Art Museum on the 23rd

Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) announced on the 21st that it will hold an Autumn Healing Concert on the lawn of Hajungwoong Art Museum at 7 p.m. on the 23rd.

Under the theme "Fall in Love," this concert will be hosted by popular actress Yang Mikyung, who played Hansanggung in the drama "Dae Jang Geum," and will feature a stage of "Classics with Yang Mikyung's Commentary" along with the "Asia String Quartet."

Following this, a duet performance by singers Kwak Donghyun and Choi Yongho, both known from Phantom Singer, will take place.

Additionally, stages by the regionally representative jazz band "Park Sooyong Jazz Quintet," the female quartet group "Ladies," and the Seo-gu Women's Choir are also prepared.

Seo-gu will install a mobile large outdoor stage provided by the National Asia Culture Center Foundation and provide mats for residents’ comfortable viewing.

At the lawn of Hajungwoong Art Museum, the Earth Love Book Cover Drawing Contest and a book picnic to enjoy with books will also be held.

The "Earth Love Book Cover Drawing" contest will have 35 teams of elementary school students and families who pre-registered, challenging themselves to draw picture book covers themed on the Earth and environment from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The family-friendly "Seo-gu Book Picnic Day" will run from 2:40 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., lending participants picnic kits composed of one general book, one picture book, an environmental board game set, catch ball, and various other items. Various experiential programs such as a bubble magic show, autumn pinwheels, and "Fly! Butterfly" are also prepared.

Seo-gu Mayor Kim Ikang said, "In spring, we have the Cherry Blossom Concert, and in autumn, the Healing Concert, hoping residents can enjoy refined culture close to their daily lives.
