Creating My Own Business Space on KakaoTalk... Channel Home Revamp

Kakao announced on the 21st that it has revamped the KakaoTalk Channel Home to enable business partners to create online spaces and provide information that reflect the nature and characteristics of their businesses.

Creating My Own Business Space on KakaoTalk... Channel Home Revamp

The KakaoTalk Channel Home functions like a homepage for each channel. It is a space where content published through KakaoTalk channels can be gathered and various functions such as sales and payments can be utilized. With this Channel Home revamp, business expansion becomes easy and fast using only the KakaoTalk channel without the need to develop a separate app.

Business partners using KakaoTalk channels can configure their Channel Home by utilizing design and function templates tailored to the purpose of their industry, such as reservations, subscriptions, delivery, and ticket booking. It is also possible to link existing websites. Additionally, a feature to link social networking service (SNS) channels to the Channel Home will be updated soon.

It is also possible to link store operation information provided by KakaoMap to the KakaoTalk channel. When a business channel is connected to KakaoMap store management, operating hours, star ratings, and review counts registered on KakaoMap are automatically linked and displayed on the Channel Home’s "Profile Card."

Menu and product information registered in KakaoMap store information are also automatically displayed on the KakaoTalk channel. Each menu and product includes an inquiry button, allowing customer inquiries to be handled via KakaoTalk, which is a distinctive feature.

A Kakao representative said, "With this revamp, we expect the Channel Home to become a starting point that connects business partners and users and expands relationships with customers. We plan to continue developing KakaoTalk channels as a business space where partners can discover customers, build relationships, and steadily grow."
