Honda Korea announced that it will launch the 6th generation mid-size sport utility vehicle (SUV), the 'All New CR-V Hybrid,' in the domestic market on the 21st.
The CR-V Hybrid sold in Korea is available in the 4WD Touring trim, priced at 55.9 million KRW. It is offered in a total of five colors: White, Gray, Black, and hybrid-exclusive colors Urban Gray and Blue. The All New CR-V Hybrid can be purchased through Honda's online platform.
The new CR-V powertrain is equipped with a newly developed 2.0ℓ direct injection Atkinson engine and a next-generation 2-motor hybrid system combined with a newly structured E-CVT.
The engine delivers a maximum output of 147 horsepower and a peak torque of 18.6 kg·m, providing excellent driving performance. For the first time in Honda, the vehicle features a full urethane cover and noise vibration absorption materials to enhance quietness.
The newly developed E-CVT is designed to offer the driving pleasure of EV-like motor power. Drivers can select from four drive modes (Normal, ECON, Snow, Sport) depending on various driving conditions. Through an evolved deceleration selector, comfortable driving is possible with one-pedal operation without using the brake.
The All New CR-V Hybrid has increased overall length and wheelbase compared to the previous model. It features hybrid-exclusive design elements such as a black front grille, 19-inch black alloy wheels, and black roof rails, creating a luxurious yet sporty image. The interior space is enhanced with a horizontal layout for a sense of openness and offers user-centered convenience with a simple display and physical button configuration.
Honda explained that the new CR-V has increased overall length, width, and wheelbase to provide a spacious interior. The second-row legroom has been extended by 15mm compared to the previous model, and the basic trunk cargo space is 1113ℓ, large enough to fit four golf caddies. Folding the second-row seats expands the cargo space up to 2166ℓ, making it suitable for camping or car camping without difficulty.
The 'Honda SENSING' system, standard on the All New CR-V Hybrid, is equipped with a wide-angle camera with a viewing angle expanded to 90 degrees and a radar with a recognition range extended to 120 degrees. This enhances the performance of the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS).
Additionally, it includes a 'Traffic Jam Assist' steering support system that detects lanes with a camera and operates from a standstill in congested traffic, and a low-speed brake control function that detects obstacles in front of and behind the vehicle at low speeds to control driving force.
Lee Ji-hong, CEO of Honda Korea, said, "We hope that customers will enjoy a more satisfying car life based on the values proposed by the All New CR-V Hybrid, such as safety, efficiency, and driving pleasure."
