Geumcheon-gu Single-Person Households Take on the 'Walk' Walking Challenge This Fall

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that the Geumcheon-gu Single-Person Household Support Center (hereinafter referred to as the Center) will hold a walking competition for single-person households called "Walking Alone into Autumn" throughout October.

"Walking Alone into Autumn" was organized to help single-person household residents, who tend to neglect their health, develop healthy habits and to provide information for single-person households. The walking app "WalkOn" will be used.

The participants are 100 single-person households residing in Geumcheon-gu (first-come, first-served). Residents who wish to participate can apply by signing up on the Geumcheon-gu Family Center website and then applying through "Program Information - Program Application" by September 27.

The challenges are "walking 100,000 steps" and "certifying walking at least three times." Participants must walk 100,000 steps from October 4 to 31. However, a maximum of 7,000 steps per day will be recognized. Additionally, participants must certify their step count screen on the Single-Person Household Naver Band at least three times.

Those who complete both challenges will receive a gift certificate worth approximately 30,000 KRW.

Participants can obtain various information about support projects for single-person households on the Single-Person Household Band.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "I hope this helps single-person household residents develop healthy habits," and added, "We encourage many interested residents to participate."
