North Korea-Russia Summit Held After 4 Years and 5 Months
Departing for North Korea After 5 Nights and 6 Days Schedule Completion
North Korean State Affairs Commission Chairman Kim Jong Un departed for North Korea on the 17th (local time) after completing a 5-night, 6-day visit to Russia, boarding a special armored train.
Ria Novosti reported that the armored train carrying Chairman Kim left the train station in Russia's Primorsky Krai with a farewell. Stepping onto the train via a temporary staircase laid with a red carpet, Chairman Kim waved to Russian officials and saluted them as a farewell gesture. The Russian officials also waved their hands slowly toward the departing train.
Invited by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chairman Kim arrived at Hasan Station, located on the border between North Korea and Russia, on the 12th and completed a 5-night, 6-day schedule through that day.
The 5-night, 6-day period marks Chairman Kim's longest overseas stay to date. Counting from the 10th, when his train departed from Pyongyang, North Korea, he spent a total of 7 nights and 8 days visiting Russia.
On the 13th, Chairman Kim held a summit with President Putin at the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Russia's Amur Oblast. This summit between the two leaders was the first in 4 years and 5 months since April 2019.
