Kakao Mobility announced on the 15th that it has launched the social impact brand ‘201 Campaign’ to strengthen its social responsibility management.
Starting with the launch of the ‘201 Campaign,’ Kakao Mobility plans to actively discover projects aimed at creating social value through collaboration with various institutions and companies. Existing win-win and social contribution programs operated in various fields will also be consolidated under the ‘201 Campaign’ to be continuously maintained and expanded.
The ‘201 Campaign’ is an integrated brand for social impact projects that create sustainable value for service partners, local communities, and the planet. The brand symbol represents the commitment to “creating value for all with our own hands.” The brand name reflects the values Kakao Mobility pursues through each number: ▲2 represents creating a business ecosystem that grows together with partners (Project Two), ▲0 stands for creating social value without exclusion (Project Zero), and ▲1 signifies practicing eco-friendly actions to protect the one and only Earth (Project One).
‘Project Two’ focuses on win-win activities such as ▲supporting partner business activation ▲improving partner labor conditions ▲raising awareness of mobility workers. ‘Project Zero’ involves community contribution activities such as ▲enhancing accessibility for mobility-impaired and digitally disadvantaged groups ▲revitalizing marginalized local communities ▲supporting social safety nets. Through ‘Project One,’ activities to protect the environment are carried out, including ▲reducing mobility carbon emissions ▲resource circulation ▲raising environmental awareness.
Meanwhile, as a leading mobility platform company in Korea, Kakao Mobility has been conducting various social impact campaigns for partner coexistence and social contribution.
To build partner co-growth and sustainable job environments, Kakao Mobility operates various programs such as ‘Taxi Driver Medical and Livelihood Safety Support,’ which provides medical and living expenses for taxi drivers in need due to illness or accidents; ‘Road Heroes,’ which finds, promotes, and awards mobility workers who have exerted positive influence across society; ‘Kakao Mobility Junior Lab,’ which supports the dreams and futures of taxi drivers’ children; and the ‘Wise Substitute Driver Life Campaign,’ which helps novice substitute drivers with job training and health management.
Activities for marginalized neighbors and local communities have also been carried out. Key examples include the ‘Dongbo Message System Establishment,’ which contributed to dementia patient rescue and criminal apprehension through public-private security cooperation; the free transportation support service for mobility-impaired individuals, ‘Seodaemun Hope Car’; providing shared bicycle services in transportation-disadvantaged areas and donating all operating profits; and supporting the commute of workers at screening clinics.
Additionally, Kakao Mobility is committed to building an eco-friendly service platform through initiatives such as operating Kakao T Bike and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by not issuing paper taxi receipts, as well as running the ‘Green Mobility Program’ to expand eco-friendly electric taxis.
Ryu Geung-seon, CEO of Kakao Mobility, said, “Through the ‘201 Campaign,’ we will discover sincere projects and spread positive influence throughout our society.” He added, “As we have continuously contemplated social value through platform services and social contribution activities, we will strive to grow as a trusted company by the public.”
