Myeong Hyun-gwan, Haenam County Governor, Launches Integrity Campaign on Commute

"Let's Create an Honest Chuseok Holiday Together"

Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do conducted a morning integrity campaign on the 14th ahead of the Chuseok holiday, with County Governor Myeong Hyeon-gwan, Deputy Governor Kim Cha-jin, and public officials participating.

The campaign was organized as an opportunity to prevent public service corruption that could arise during the festive season and to reaffirm the commitment to creating a fair and clean Haenam.

Participants in the campaign informed county public officials and visitors about the amendments to the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act and explained the public official corruption reporting system.

In particular, they urged special caution to prevent any unfortunate incidents related to public officials receiving gifts or money connected to their duties or violations of the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act during the holiday season.

In this regard, Haenam-gun has designated the period until the 6th of next month as a special inspection period for the Code of Conduct for Public Officials, during which it will focus on inspecting job-related solicitation, acceptance of money or gifts, negligence, and delays in work.

Governor Myeong Hyeon-gwan stated, “A clean and honest Haenam has been the operational policy most emphasized since the 7th local government term. Through this campaign, we took time to reaffirm the commitment to integrity within the organization,” and added, “We will continue to promote a culture of integrity both inside and outside the organization to create a clean and friendly Haenam-gun.”
