Kang Seok-jin, Chairman of Jungjin Gong, Takes Initiative to Strengthen Competitiveness in SoBuJang Sector

Visiting Jigeumgang Site of Local Root Industry Companies on the 14th

The Small and Medium Business Corporation (hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced that Chairman Kang Seok-jin visited Jigeumgang, an automobile parts manufacturing company located in Hanam Industrial Complex, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, on the 14th to inspect the production site and listen to management difficulties.

The visit was arranged to seek measures to resolve regional industrial imbalance caused by the concentration of new technologies and new industries in the metropolitan area and to revitalize the regional economy. Established in 1994, Jigeumgang is a manufacturing company in the materials, parts, and equipment sector with technological capabilities, including over 50 registered patents. Its main products are automobile parts such as bumpers, grills, and console boxes, achieving sales of 87.4 billion KRW as of the end of last year.

Based on this competitiveness, Jigeumgang operates three factories equipped with large-scale production facilities such as injection molding machines, heat treatment facilities, and painting lines, contributing to the revitalization of the regional economy. It has also contributed to creating local jobs by employing about 200 workers.

Since its inception, Jigeumgang has been supported by SBC. Starting with policy fund loans in 1997, it has grown through comprehensive package support including technical assistance for quality improvement, training for successful business management, Tomorrow Filling Deduction, and export vouchers. Even when facing difficulties due to a recent factory fire, it overcame the crisis by rebuilding the factory in a short time with SBC’s facility fund support.

Chairman Kang Seok-jin of SBC said, "We will strive to resolve regional industrial imbalance and strengthen corporate competitiveness through active cooperation among regional small and medium business support organizations such as the government and local governments," adding, "SBC will also do its best to revitalize the regional economy through reflecting on-site demands, fostering regional company growth, and creating jobs."
