Yeongyang-gun Conducts Safety Inspection Day Campaign in September

Preparation for Safety Accidents During Autumn Outings and Chuseok Holidays

On the 13th at 11 a.m., Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk, conducted a promotional campaign for the September Safety Inspection Day to prepare for safety accidents during the autumn outing season and the Chuseok holiday at the Cheonggi-myeon Office.

About 40 participants, including employees from Yeongyang-gun Office, Cheonggi-myeon Office, Ipam 119 Safety Center, and the Cheonggi-myeon Village Leaders Association, took part in the campaign. With the cooperation of the Ipam 119 Safety Center, they had a session to learn cardiac arrest prevention rules and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED).

They also actively promoted the prevention and management of safety accidents that frequently occur during the autumn outing season and the Chuseok holiday period. Additionally, they took time to reaffirm their determination to attract the Yeongyang Pumped Storage Power Plant, a wish shared by all residents.

The campaign participants paid close attention to the AED usage training and recognized once again the importance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Since the Chuseok holiday and autumn outing season are times when traffic accidents and other safety incidents frequently occur, they urged thorough preparation against various accidents and carried out activities to establish a culture of safety.

Governor Oh Do-chang stated, “As we approach the Chuseok holiday, I hope everyone will do their best to provide guidance and promote safety rules to prevent fires and various safety accidents.”
