Dong-A University will hold the ‘2023 Daedongje Festival’ until the 15th.
The festival, which began on the 12th, will take place over four days at Seunghak Campus and Bumin Campus, featuring invited singer performances by Cheongha, Zion.T, Dynamic Duo, Kwon Eunbi, Min Kyung-hoon, and more, as well as the Dong-A Song Festival, club performances, cheerleading squad performances, and Taekwondo demonstration team performances.
Programs for student participation have also been prepared, including a picnic (snacks, mats provided, board game rentals), flea market, plogging challenge, Golden Bell (quiz program), and SNS events.
Various side events aimed at helping students prepare for employment have been organized. On the 13th and 14th, career and employment counseling, promotion of the National Employment Support System, and K-Move promotion were held at the Seunghak Campus Student Hall, and on the 15th at the Bumin Campus Business School lobby.
Additionally, activities that attract students’ interest such as personal color diagnosis methods, fingerprint-based career aptitude tests, and the operation of the ‘Dajim Zone (photo zone)’ are also drawing attention.
Kang Ki-dong, president of the student council who hosted the festival, said, “Students have not been able to fully enjoy campus life for over three years due to COVID-19, so it is meaningful to hold the spring cherry blossom festival and now the autumn Daedongje Festival.” He added, “We wanted to show that university festivals can be different.”
He continued, “It would be great if we could solve employment concerns together, have more students participate and enjoy the festival, and revitalize the local commercial district through mutual growth.”
Oh Eung-su, director of the Student Employment Support Office, said, “We will continue to hold events that go to where the students are to support their career and employment.”
