Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service Signs 'Carbon Neutrality Practice' MOU with Ulsan Jung-gu On the 12th, at the Ulsan Headquarters of the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service, Park Jong-gil, Chairman of the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service (left), and Kim Young-gil, Mayor of Jung-gu, Ulsan City, are taking a commemorative photo after signing a business agreement for carbon neutrality practice and garden city creation.

The agreement ceremony was promoted as part of measures to practice carbon neutrality, including mutual cooperation for the creation of a "garden city," the establishment of a community garden in the park site next to the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service (Innovation Rest Park), and support for the protection of carbon sinks.

Through this agreement, it is expected that leading carbon neutrality activities in the public sector will expand to private companies and local communities, resulting in an increase in carbon sinks and carbon reduction effects due to the creation of a garden city. Furthermore, it is anticipated to align with the government's 2050 carbon neutrality promotion strategy.

It is also expected to create social value such as coexistence and mutual growth with the local community, job creation, and social contribution activities, and to contribute to economic revitalization linked to local environmental improvement and environmental ecosystem conservation through joint projects with the partner organizations.

Director Park Jong-gil stated, "Through the practice of carbon neutrality under the business agreement with Jung-gu, Ulsan, we will lead the Service's sustainable environmental management and actively participate in improving the local environment."
