National Police Agency and Korea Aviation Meteorological Agency Sign MOU to Enhance Safe Flight Operations and Services

On the 12th, the National Police Agency signed a business agreement with the Aviation Meteorological Agency to enhance the safe operation of police aircraft and improve aviation meteorological services.

This agreement was made with the purpose of strengthening mutual cooperation by sharing route and weather information necessary for preventing aviation accidents and establishing an aviation meteorological education system for the safe operation of police aircraft.


The main contents include △ educational support for cultivating knowledge of police helicopter operation and aviation meteorology △ provision of customized weather information linked to major police helicopter routes △ sharing of route and point observation weather information such as pilot reports and aircraft images.


Um Seong-gyu, Director of the Security Bureau of the National Police Agency, said, "Through this business agreement, we will be able to improve safe operation capabilities by efficiently utilizing the weather information provided by the Aviation Meteorological Agency," adding, "By sharing weather conditions along flight routes, it is expected to also contribute to the enhancement of the Aviation Meteorological Agency's aviation meteorological services."
