Gyeonggi Province will hold the ‘Kkum Woollim Festival’ for out-of-school youth at the Hanam City Youth Center on the 20th.
The Kkum Woollim Festival began in 2018 as the nation’s first ‘Out-of-School Youth Career Expo’ and is held once a year.
This year’s event will involve out-of-school youth, 32 out-of-school youth support centers in the province (including 1 provincial center and 31 city/county centers), and youth organizations.
This event, which will be a place for empathy and communication among out-of-school youth, will also feature a sports day, an arts festival, and a digital platform (online exhibition) where works by out-of-school youth can be viewed.
The sports day is designed to foster teamwork through group activities for out-of-school youth and to allow participation across all age groups.
The arts festival, where participants can showcase talents such as singing, band performances, and dance, will include 10 teams selected through preliminary judging held in August.
The digital platform will open in advance on the 12th, allowing people to appreciate the talents and skills of out-of-school youth through the arts festival, exhibitions, and election experiences (youth groups). Residents can participate by voting for works (arts festival, election experience), clicking likes, and leaving comments.
In addition, Gyeonggi Province is preparing a rich program that includes experience booths from related organizations and events, enabling out-of-school youth, their guardians, leaders, and related organizations to all participate.
