Starting Paperless Activities from February... Emphasizing "Everyday Practice"
3R (Reduce·Reuse·Recycle) Packaging Material Activities Since Last Year
Jung Cheol-dong, President of LG Innotek, participated in a campaign to reduce the use of disposable products in daily life.
On the 11th, LG Innotek announced that President Jung took part in the 'Disposable Products Zero' challenge. He was nominated by Son Bo-ik, CEO of LX Semicon, on the 4th. This is part of a relay campaign started by the Ministry of Environment in February. The campaign aims to reduce the use of disposable items such as paper cups and wooden chopsticks and encourage the use of reusable products. Participants take a photo posing with a gesture symbolizing the commitment to "reduce disposable products to zero," upload it on social media (SNS), and nominate the next participant.
LG Innotek has been promoting solid ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management to strengthen corporate social responsibility (CSR) and actively respond to global climate change. Last year, President Jung sent a CEO letter to employees, mentioning practices such as separating transparent PET bottles for recycling and making the use of tumblers a habit, emphasizing that "individual interest and practice in ESG by each employee are most important."

Since February, LG Innotek has been conducting 'Paperless activities.' During meetings and reports, they reduce paper usage by utilizing personal PCs or tablets instead of printed materials. Last year, LG Innotek established an automated packaging system, quantifying and standardizing the use of plastic and vinyl packaging materials used in it. This is to reduce plastic waste caused by over-packaging and other wasteful practices.
LG Innotek received the Minister of Environment Award for leading resource circulation last year. The Gumi, Pyeongtaek, and Gwangju plants obtained the 'Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWTL)' certification. President Jung Cheol-dong stated, "LG Innotek will continue sincere ESG management as a global No.1 materials and components company providing differentiated customer value."
President Jung nominated Park Won-chul, President of SKC, and Moon Hong-sung, CEO of Doosan Corporation, as the next participants in the challenge.
