"I Thought It Was a Ghost"... Woman Pushing Stroller Speeding Through Tunnel

Vehicle Black Box Footage Captured

A woman pushing a stroller with a child inside along the shoulder of a tunnel where cars are speeding was captured on a vehicle's black box, sparking curiosity among netizens.

On August 8, JTBC's recent program 'Sageon Banjang' (Incident Chief) released footage showing a woman pushing a stroller in an underground tunnel from Olympic-daero to Gyeongin Expressway at around 6:42 PM on the 6th.

The black box footage was submitted by Mr. A, who noticed a passenger car stopped on the shoulder while passing through the underpass. The informant said, "I wondered if there had been an accident or if the car had broken down," when he spotted the woman pushing a stroller with a child.

It has not yet been confirmed whether this woman was the owner of the passenger car parked on the shoulder or why she had to push the stroller so dangerously.

Netizens who watched the video commented, "Did they have a fight inside the car and she got out in anger?" "I don't know what happened, but the fine dust inside the tunnel is terrible; what about the baby?" "There must be unavoidable circumstances, but it's such an unreasonable scene that it's hard to believe even after seeing it," "I really thought it was a ghost," and so on.

Since the inside of tunnels is dark and drivers have difficulty securing visibility, walking inside can lead to serious accidents. Last month, a man in his 40s with a mild disability died after being hit by a car while riding an electric wheelchair in a tunnel in Seo-gu, Incheon. The driver involved in the accident stated, "I did not see the electric wheelchair in time and could not reduce speed."
