After the 'Public Housing Innovation Expert Meeting' held at the Government Seoul Office in the afternoon, Minister Won told reporters, "Due to the disparity in house price increases, non-apartment housing has been excessively contracted, and we have a sense of urgency to resolve this issue."

The construction industry is requesting the government to exclude small and medium-sized officetels under 85㎡ of exclusive area and urban lifestyle housing from the housing count and to exclude them from being combined in the comprehensive real estate tax.

Regarding this, Minister Won said, "We are in a dilemma." He explained, "Non-apartment housing serves as a housing ladder for young people or those who need to live in urban areas, and since it is supplied rapidly in the city, regulations on parking lots and fire safety have been relaxed. It is true that issues of fairness arise compared to apartments, which are subject to all regulations."

He added, "There is a conflict between the fairness of the law and the regulations established out of necessity, so we are contemplating. No conclusion has been reached yet."

The supply measures to be announced between the 20th and 25th are expected to include plans to extend the maturity of real estate project financing (PF) and expand construction finance and guarantee support. It is also expected to include content to advance public orders and relax regulations to expedite permits and construction starts.
