'Friday Night Han River Sky' Embroidered by 1,000 Drones

This spring, the '2023 Hangang Light Performance (Drone Light Show)', which decorated the night sky over the Hangang River and created a spectacular scene, is returning in autumn with even more dazzling and abundant attractions.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 7th that the second half 'Drone Light Show' will be regularly held every Friday from the 8th of this month until the 27th of next month at the waterfront stage of Ttukseom Hangang Park. Equipped with up to 1,000 drones (about 500 in the first half) and pre-cultural and artistic performances, it will offer a variety of attractions.

However, the show will not be held on the 29th of this month, and during the first week of October, considering the Chuseok holiday and the Chinese National Day holiday, the drone light show will be held twice to provide various attractions to domestic and international tourists visiting Seoul.

Also, from 7 p.m., a pre-cultural and artistic performance will be held for about an hour. However, on the 1st of next month, only the main drone light show will be held without the pre-performance.

Kim Young-hwan, Director of the Seoul Tourism and Sports Bureau, said, “The Hangang Drone Light Show held in the first half received great responses from citizens and tourists, and we expect it to depict Seoul’s diverse charms in the second half as well,” adding, “We will develop it into a representative night tourism content of Seoul to generate demand for foreign tourists visiting Seoul.”
