Gangnam-gu Hosts Direct Market for Chuseok Celebration

Over 80 Farms from 50+ Locations Nationwide Attend Event on the 20th at District Office Parking Lot... Pre-orders Accepted at 22 Community Centers from the 7th to 13th

Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) will hold a 'Chuseok Agricultural, Livestock, and Seafood Direct Market' on the 20th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the district office parking lot to celebrate the Chuseok holiday.

The market, attended by over 80 farms from more than 50 locations nationwide, will sell high-quality local specialties such as Korean beef, pears, apples, dried persimmons, as well as dried yellow corvina, abalone, and mushrooms, at prices 5-30% lower than the market price for holiday ritual items.

On the day of the event, the first 2,023 customers who present a receipt for purchases over 10,000 KRW will receive a 500g bag of newly harvested rice as a gift. Additionally, a courier delivery service (4,000 KRW) will be available until 4 p.m., and a free knife sharpening service will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Furthermore, a food stall will be operated to enhance the festive atmosphere of the market.

For residents who find it difficult to visit the site on the day, pre-registration is available from September 7 to 13 either in person or by phone. Customers can check the product list on the district office website and leaflets available at 22 community centers, then place orders by calling their respective community centers for delivery by courier. Deliveries will be made sequentially starting from the 18th.
