Popular Sales of Representative Agricultural Specialties like Bipa, Promotion of Support Policies for Returning to Farming and Rural Education
Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do participated in the '2023 Returning to Farming and Rural Settling Success Expo' held at COEX, Seoul from the 30th of last month to the 1st.
According to the county on the 6th, they promoted support policies and conducted personalized consultations for those who wish to return to farming or rural areas or have an interest in it.

They also provided information about the educational courses of the 'Returning to Farming and Rural Hope School,' which operates to allow prospective returnees to experience rural life and learn agricultural techniques.
In particular, Wando-gun attracted great attention from visitors by exhibiting and selling various representative agricultural specialty products such as loquat, aronia wine, citron syrup, elephant garlic jam, organic bananas, and blueberries.
Visitor Kim said, "I have always been very interested in returning to farming, and it was helpful to get information about the questions I had," adding, "I thought Wando was only famous for seafood, but its agricultural specialty products were also unique."
Wando-gun is promoting various initiatives such as operating the Returning to Farming and Rural Hope School, living experience programs in Wando, fam tours, support for house repairs and purchases, establishing homes for returnees to farming and fishing, and support for young people settling in fishing villages to help returnees settle stably.
A county official said, "We will do our best to provide information and develop and operate various programs to attract population inflow such as returning to farming, rural areas, and fishing."
