SK C&C and Yonsei University Establish Master's Program to Train Digital Manufacturing Experts

On the 6th, SK Inc. C&C signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Yonsei University to establish a master's program in the Department of Digital Convergence Engineering to cultivate talent for digital innovation in the manufacturing sector. This agreement was made based on a shared understanding of the need to nurture professionals equipped with both technical and practical skills for smart manufacturing innovation.

Yonsei University designed the Digital Convergence Engineering program with participation from expert professors in related departments, including Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Chemical and Biological Engineering. The Department of Digital Convergence Engineering is a master's program within Yonsei University's College of Engineering. Admissions and academic schedules will be conducted in accordance with Yonsei University's general graduate school regulations. The curriculum links areas such as mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, control, and AI convergence to train digital manufacturing convergence experts specializing in AI- and data-driven manufacturing, logistics automation, and intelligent systems.

The first cohort of the newly established master's program in Digital Convergence Engineering, starting in January next year, will select talents from SK Inc. C&C and SK member companies to be developed as core experts in the manufacturing digital field. Students will be 'dispatched for education' for one year, allowing them to focus entirely on their studies without work obligations.
