Bosung's Future Food Industry Accelerates Large-Scale Project 추진
The 2023 2nd supplementary budget of Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, was finalized at a total of 791.1 billion KRW after passing the resolution at the 296th extraordinary session of the main council on the 4th.
This supplementary budget increased by 80 billion KRW (11.2%) from the 1st supplementary budget of 711.1 billion KRW, totaling 791.1 billion KRW. The general account was increased by 72.4 billion KRW to 707.3 billion KRW, and the special account was increased by 7.6 billion KRW to 83.8 billion KRW.
The 2nd supplementary budget focuses on fiscal soundness through expenditure restructuring in preparation for worsening financial conditions due to recent forecasts of decreased national tax revenue and local tax income, concentrating on disaster recovery and prevention projects as well as resident-oriented projects.
In particular, it includes a large number of budgets for the successful completion of major projects that will become Boseong-gun’s future growth engines.
Major projects include ▲40 billion KRW for the creation of Boseong Yulpo Promenade ▲3.6 billion KRW for the Beolgyo-Jangdo Ecological Exploration Road project ▲3 billion KRW for the Yulpo Port Fishing Village Vitalization project ▲800 million KRW for the Yeoja Bay Marine Theme Park project ▲4.9 billion KRW for the Josong Industrial Complex development and complex center construction ▲2 billion KRW for the New Vitality Plus project ▲2 billion KRW for the high-quality powdered green tea sterilization facility project.
Additionally, budgets for damage recovery from summer monsoon and heavy rains and for further disaster prevention include ▲3.4 billion KRW for small stream maintenance and embankment repair ▲2.1 billion KRW for Madongcheon stream maintenance ▲900 million KRW for county and rural road flood damage recovery and bridge maintenance ▲500 million KRW for disaster risk facility maintenance.
Furthermore, 7.5 billion KRW was allocated for the Beolgyo Comprehensive Sports Facility project, 800 million KRW for the Boseong National Defense Exhibition Hall construction, 260 million KRW for the Beolgyo Cockle Festival, and 140 million KRW for the Boseong Comprehensive Arts Festival, aiming to revitalize the local economy and create changes that residents can feel.
Kim Cheol-woo, the governor of Boseong-gun, stated, “Through this 2nd supplementary budget, we will operate the county’s finances soundly and efficiently while steadily promoting major projects that will become Boseong’s growth engines, striving to improve the quality of life for our residents.”
