The Gyeongnam Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration will hold the "2024 Gyeongnam Region Traditional Market and Shopping District Revitalization Support Project Briefing Session" on the 8th at 2 PM in the 3rd floor conference room.
This briefing session is designed to enhance the understanding of traditional markets, shopping districts, and local governments regarding the "2024 Traditional Market and Shopping District Revitalization Support Project" announced by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups on August 31. It will include explanations of major support projects and a Q&A session.
The "2024 Traditional Market and Shopping District Revitalization Support Project" is a program conducted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to foster traditional markets and shopping districts. For 2024, a total of 10 projects have been announced.
The main project is the Market Management Package Support Project, which supports merchant associations to autonomously carry out joint marketing, education, and management activities reflecting regional and commercial district characteristics within the budget limit. Each location can receive up to 36 million KRW in national funding.
The Specialized Market Development Project consists of three sub-projects: cultural tourism type, digital traditional market, and first-step foundation establishment. It supports the development of market strengths linked to local cultural and tourism resources and the online advancement of traditional markets. Depending on the sub-project, support ranges from 300 million to 1 billion KRW per market.
Other projects include the Youth Mall Revitalization Project, Fire Alarm Facility Installation Project, and Old Wiring Maintenance Project.

The "2024 Gyeongnam Region Traditional Market and Shopping District Revitalization Support Project Briefing Session" is aimed at traditional markets, shopping districts, and local governments wishing to participate. It will feature explanations and Q&A sessions by representatives from the Gyeongnam Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration and the Small Enterprise and Market Service regarding major projects such as the Specialized Market Development Project.
