Yeongyang-gun, Multicultural Moms for Their Children... A Confident Challenge! Yeongyang-gun Multicultural Family Support Center Successfully Holds Graduation Ceremony for Multicultural Mom School Class 1 and Entrance Ceremony for Class 2.

About 30 people, including Mom School students and their families, attended the graduation and entrance ceremony.

The 1st graduating class of the Multicultural Mom School enrolled in March this year and completed a 5-month course covering 7 elementary school subjects (Korean, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, History, Ethics, and Practical Arts) through 90% online and 10% offline classes. Despite busy schedules balancing work and household chores, they took charge of their elementary school children’s home learning and communicated with school teachers, growing into “moms who play the role of moms” by actively supporting their children’s education.

On this day, graduation certificates were awarded along with prizes and certificates to top performers: Ms. Lee (Grand Prize, China), Mr. Jo (Excellence Award, Vietnam), and Mr. Wang (Excellence Award, China). Awards were also given for outstanding home learning guidance and active participation.

Additionally, 7 new students for the 2nd class, selected through document screening, Korean language evaluation, and interviews, attended a session to briefly understand the upcoming curriculum starting in September.

Ms. Lee, the representative graduate from China, said, “The five months at Mom School was a meaningful time that not only improved my learning ability but also boosted my confidence as a member of society. It was a happy time that helped me understand and teach my children. It was happiness in finding myself. Raising children and learning was not easy, but I am grateful to everyone who supported me.”

Center Director Lee Seon-jeong conveyed a message of encouragement, saying, “I hope the graduates and new students of the Multicultural Mom School, who are adapting well in various fields, will grow into moms who take responsibility for their children’s learning through the elementary school curriculum.”
