Dobong-gu Launches Welfare Brand 'Oh! Sabang Welfare'... Mayor Oh Eon-seok Pledges Inclusive Welfare Policies... Creation of 'Oh! Dobong-gu's welfare brand, ‘Oh! Sabang Welfare’, has been launched.

Dobong-gu has introduced its representative welfare project brand. Oh Eon-seok, the mayor of Dobong-gu, stated, “The brand is not just a one-time logo for simple promotion but represents Dobong's welfare identity and direction,” adding, “From now on, the welfare projects promoted by the district will spread in all directions throughout Dobong-gu.”

‘Oh! Sabang Welfare’ embodies the welfare philosophy of Mayor Oh Eon-seok, who has emphasized field-oriented Dobong-style welfare policies since the launch of the 8th local government administration. The term ‘Sabang (四方) Welfare’ signifies implementing detailed welfare policies that residents can genuinely feel within a broad framework.

Through this welfare brand, the district plans to attract not only existing welfare workers and beneficiaries of Dobong-gu’s welfare projects but also residents interested in welfare projects, thereby encouraging participation from waiting groups.

The ‘Oh! Sabang Welfare’ CI and videos will be used on the district’s website and various events, and will be extensively utilized to promote Dobong welfare so that anyone can learn about welfare in Dobong.

Along with the launch of this welfare brand, the district will introduce the Gyeong·Cheong (경·청, meaning ‘Youth Approaching Security Guards’) project nationwide for the first time.

Focusing on local youth, the project aims to understand the actual conditions of apartment security guards, improve residents’ distorted perceptions, and ultimately create a safe community in Dobong-gu through the formation of a local social network. Additionally, security guards will be appointed as honorary social welfare officers who discover and report welfare blind spots, thereby strengthening the local welfare safety net.

Oh Eon-seok, mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “Dobong-gu will strive to ensure that no resident is left out through field-oriented welfare projects, and as the brand ‘Walking with the Vulnerable, Oh! Sabang Welfare’ suggests, we will do our best to make welfare benefits felt everywhere in Dobong-gu.”
