[One Day Ten Thousand Steps, One Day One Thousand Characters] This Hospital Serious About Obesity Created a Walking App

365mc, a specialized obesity hospital (CEO Kim Nam-cheol), has launched an application called ‘Boramdage Geotjibang’ that allows users to donate while walking. This social contribution app platform converts users' step counts into donation amounts to support underprivileged groups. Anyone can download and participate for free regardless of their place of residence. After installing the app and signing up as a member, users can register either as a 365mc customer member or a step donation member. True to the hospital's name, 365mc, 1 point is accumulated for every 3,650 steps taken.

In the ‘Walk and Get Nutrition Coaching Jibang’ section, users can share healthy diet plans with others and receive nutrition coaching from 365mc’s professional dietitians. One point can be used for one nutrition coaching session, and up to 6 points can be earned per day. Currently, 365mc customer members receive benefits such as practice index accumulation when achieving step goals and registering diet plans. Along with the launch of ‘Geotjibang,’ 365mc plans to offer a specialized version for lifestyle habit correction and behavioral modification therapy tailored for post-liposuction and LAMS care to its customers.

Since 2017, 365mc has been conducting donation activities through the ‘Art Health Donation Staircase’ installed at Gangnam-gu Office Station on Subway Line 7. For each citizen using the stairs, 20 KRW is accumulated as a donation. By the end of 2022, the number of stair users reached approximately 550,000, with a cumulative total of about 2.9 million users. The donations raised annually are delivered to socially marginalized groups. Additionally, 365mc donates 10% of its annual profits back to society, and as of 2023, the total accumulated donations have exceeded 3.4 billion KRW. At the end of the year, the hospital plans to convert the accumulated steps of ‘Geotjibang’ campaign participants into donation amounts to support educational materials and other needs for young family caregivers in need.
