On the 1st of this month, Songpa-gu held the "Songpa-gu Integrity and Respect & Consideration Organizational Culture Pledge Ceremony" to foster a culture of respect and consideration and to spread the value of integrity, with Mayor Seogangseok and all employees participating together.
Since taking office in the 8th term of the local government, Mayor Seogangseok of Songpa-gu has urged public officials to comply with the "duty of integrity" with the goal of realizing a "clean Songpa" trusted by residents. To this end, various efforts are being made to spread a culture of integrity that not only prohibits improper solicitations and the acceptance of money or valuables that hinder fair job performance but also encompasses the creation of an organizational culture of mutual respect and consideration.
First, the district designated the first week of every month as "Songpa-gu Respect & Consideration Week" and to commemorate this, held the "Songpa-gu Integrity and Respect & Consideration Organizational Culture Pledge Ceremony" at the Songpa-gu Office auditorium on September 1st.
At the event, with the mayor and all employees in attendance, a "Pledge Oath Ceremony" was conducted, followed by a special lecture on "Respect & Consideration Organizational Culture."
The "Pledge Oath Ceremony" was a performance where Mayor Seogangseok and all employees jointly recited the pledge and signed it themselves, reflecting on the meaning of integrity and respect & consideration and strengthening their commitment to active practice.
The pledge included commitments to ▲ creating a fair and happy organizational culture ▲ respecting the dignity of superiors, colleagues, and juniors ▲ practicing words and actions that consider others ▲ performing duties responsibly ▲ and complying with obligations to maintain sincerity and dignity.
Following this, education on "Respect & Consideration Organizational Culture" was conducted. A professional lecturer from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission Integrity Training Institute was invited to give a special lecture titled "Mutual Understanding and Communication Strategies for a Healthy Organizational Culture," focusing on real cases, which resonated deeply with the attendees.
Along with this, the results of the "Organizational Culture Survey" conducted in August to diagnose the current state of Songpa-gu's organizational culture and the award-winning works from the "Respect & Consideration Phrase Copying Contest" held to cultivate sensitivity to respect and consideration were revealed, attracting much attention from many employees.
In addition, the district is striving to create a sound and flexible public service culture through various methods such as ▲ the "Manitto Morning Broadcast" sharing touching stories of respect and consideration ▲ distributing promotional materials and card news on excellent organizational culture cases for the normalization of respect and consideration ▲ and pop-up news on practical rules for respect and consideration.
