Kim Su-cheol, Vice Chairman of Gurye County Council, Receives 'Korea Legislative Service Award'

Recognition for Contributions to Establishing Parliamentary Awards and Enhancing the Status of Local Councils

Kim Su-cheol, Vice Chairman of the Gurye County Council in Jeollanam-do, received the 'Korea Local Assembly Service Award' at the 252nd City and Province Representatives Meeting of the Korea Association of City, County, and District Council Chairpersons held at the Yeonggwang Arts Center on the 29th.

Vice Chairman Kim Su-cheol of the Gurye County Council was honored for his contributions to establishing a council image for the residents, faithfully fulfilling the roles of cooperation and checks on the executive branch, thereby enhancing the status of local councils.

In his acceptance speech, Vice Chairman Kim Su-cheol said, “I will continue to listen to the voices from the field and maintain communication with the executive branch to ensure that proper policies for the residents are implemented.”

Meanwhile, more than 160 people attended the meeting, including city and province representative chairpersons nationwide, Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeollanam-do, Seo Dong-wook, Chairman of the Jeollanam-do Provincial Council, and chairpersons of city and county councils in Jeollanam-do, gathering to seek ways to strengthen cooperation systems among local councils and develop local governance.
