Young Adults Under 39: Essential Resume and Interview Tips All in One Place
POSCO Gwangyang Steelworks (Director Lee Jin-su) will recruit participants for the 5th round of the "Youth Career! UP! Employment Consulting" program from August 28 to September 8.
Since 2021, Gwangyang Steelworks has been providing employment consulting to young people preparing for jobs in the region, taking the lead in solving youth employment issues and practicing the corporate citizenship management philosophy.
The recruitment target for the employment consulting program includes high school and university students, those on leave, graduates, and job seekers aged 39 or younger, with about 50 participants to be selected.
Participants in the employment consulting will receive honest employment stories and various job-seeking know-how from POSCO Gwangyang Steelworks employees who participate as mentor seniors.
The consulting is divided into job sessions and employment sessions. In the job sessions, customized mentors reflecting the participants' schools and majors are assigned 1:1 to provide vivid stories about company life, job descriptions, necessary certifications, and job-related activities to the mentees.
In the employment sessions, practical staff from the Gwangyang Steelworks HR department directly participate to provide coaching related to the overall recruitment process, such as writing self-introduction letters, GA (group interviews), AP (analysis presentation interviews), and essay interviews.
In particular, this employment consulting is expected to serve as a more effective opportunity to enhance employment capabilities for young people struggling in an environment where jobs are decreasing, as well as contribute to strengthening the talent competitiveness of Gwangyang City.
To apply for the consulting, applicants must submit the application form according to the provided format along with a self-introduction letter (recommended, free format) and any personal documents necessary for the consulting to the person in charge via email.
The consulting will be held over two days, from September 18 to 19, at the Gwangyang City Youth Dream Center, and detailed schedules will be individually notified to the selected participants on September 12.
