Corporate Briefing for the Prevention and Response to Trade Disputes

As geopolitical factors such as the intensifying US-China competition increase uncertainty in corporate activities within China, the government has stepped up to support Korean companies in preparing countermeasures.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy will hold a "Corporate Briefing on Prevention and Response to Trade Disputes" on the 28th to assist Korean companies in responding to various market regulations in China.

This briefing, led by domestic experts in each field, is designed to support Korean companies' investment and business activities in China by providing detailed explanations on ▲ China’s Data Law and Anti-Espionage Law ▲ implications for Korean companies’ legal environment under the US-China economic relationship ▲ key points in resolving management-related disputes within China.

Park Daegyu, Multilateral Trade Legal Officer at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, said, "Due to recent geopolitical factors, delayed economic recovery in China, and intensified competition from the growth of Chinese companies, the market and corporate legal environment in China is highly uncertain. Accordingly, since our companies are likely to become involved in disputes locally, it is necessary to establish effective dispute response strategies."

The Ministry plans to continue holding corporate briefings that introduce legally significant issues and discuss response measures for major countries or regions’ overseas markets, so that Korean companies can quickly respond to rapidly changing global market conditions and prevent various potential disputes.
