Inauguration Ceremony for Hygiene Environment Improvement Project Held on the 25th... Hygiene Management Program and Capacity Building Training Provided to 160 Stores
Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) is conducting a sanitation environment improvement project for 160 stores within the Oryu Beodeul local brand commercial district in collaboration with the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation.
This sanitation environment improvement project is part of the Seoul City local brand commercial district development initiative, aimed at building a clean image of Oryu Beodeul Market and revitalizing the commercial district.
In this regard, the district signed a contract with a sanitation management specialist company and completed the recruitment of participating stores.
On August 25 at 3 p.m., a kickoff ceremony announcing the start of the project was held at the West Coast Road residents' rest area, attended by the merchants' association and related institution officials.
Stores participating in this project will receive sanitation management programs and capacity-building training from August 25 to December 15.
The specialist company will conduct one-on-one sanitation inspections for each store and provide monthly pest control services. Participating stores will have disinfection certificates and certification marks attached to enhance customer trust in sanitation.
Additionally, an educational program to strengthen sanitation management capabilities will be operated, featuring case content on the importance of workplace sanitation management and pest control measures.
A Guro-gu official stated, "This sanitation environment improvement project will contribute to building a clean image of Oryu Beodeul Market and revitalizing the alley commercial district. We will continue to strive to improve the sanitation environment so that customers can use the facilities with confidence."
Meanwhile, Oryu Beodeul Market in the Oryu-ro 8-gil area of Guro-gu, Seoul, was selected in 2022 for the Seoul City local brand commercial district development project. Up to 3 billion KRW will be invested over three years to promote a regional commercial district development project that reflects the characteristics and values of the area.
