Seocho District Council Holds 'Visiting On-site Consultation, Seocho District Council GO (GO, 鼓)'
Experts in fields such as law, taxation, labor, and architecture offer 1:1 free consultations
Chairman Oh Se-cheol: "We will take the lead in actively addressing and resolving residents' difficulties"
The Seocho District Council (Chairman Oh Se-cheol) will hold the 3rd 'Visiting On-site Consultation Room' Seocho District Council GO (GO, 鼓).
This on-site consultation will be held on September 7 at the Jamwon-dong Community Center for residents of Jamwon-dong and Banpo 1, 3, and 4-dong. At the consultation room, residents can receive 1:1 free consultations from experts in various fields such as law, taxation, labor, and architecture. Applications can be made online using a QR code or via phone registration.
Seocho District Council was the first among nationwide basic local councils to open an on-site consultation room in April 2019, receiving great responses from residents. The total number of consultations during the two Seocho District Council GO sessions reached 114 cases, including taxation (52 cases), law (40 cases), real estate (7 cases), architecture (9 cases), and labor (6 cases).
The name ‘Council GO (GO, 鼓)’ carries a dual meaning: that the Seocho District Council approaches residents directly, and like the Joseon Dynasty's Sinmungo (a drum used to report grievances), it aims to listen to residents' difficulties and help resolve them.
Chairman Oh Se-cheol said, “This event was prepared to alleviate residents' inconveniences in daily life even a little,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to actively observe and resolve the difficulties of people's livelihoods.”
